Plug Type B

Plug Type B are mainly used in USA, Canada, Central America, and Japan (Unearthed), they are only compatible with Type B sockets (outlets). We recommend you to look at type A adaports which are a earthed version of Type B adaptor.

Type B (NEMA 5-15) has 2 flat parallel pins and a round earth pin. The earth pin is longer than the flat pins so the appliance is grounded before power is applied. There are some minor differences between US and Japanese versions, as with Type A plugs.

Type B is for up to 15A.
