Plug Type L
Plug Type L are mainly used in Italy (Earthed), they are compatible with 10A socket compatible with Type C & L plugs. 16A socket compatible with type L plugs only.
The Type L plug (CEI 23-16/VII) comes in two versions 10 A and 16 A. The 10 A version has two round pins 4 mm in diameter and 5.5 mm apart and an earth pin in the middle.
The 16 A version has two round pins 5 mm in diameter and 8 mm apart and an earth pin round.
A “universal“ socket, with a “Schuko” socket for Type C, E, F and L plugs and a “bipasso” socket for Type L and C plugs is used in Italy.
The Type L plug is used for currents up to 10/16 A.
